Snacks and Apps

1. Mini Donuts

Head to locally owned Sugar Lips Mini Donuts for tiny, circular bites of decadence made to order and served warm. Opt for the highly addictive honey cinnamon or S’mores toppings and pair them with your favorite hot drink made with Frisco’s Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters beans.

2. French Onion Toast

New at Copper, the slopeside dog-friendly heated outdoor patio at Downhill Duke’s is prime for people watching. Order the French Onion Toast and savor crisped French bread topped with whipped goat feta, sherry-glazed caramelized onions and melted Gruyere. Opt for the braised beef short rib add-on.

3. Bison Chili Nachos

This happy hour favorite gets a rustic Colorado spin at Incline Bar & Grill. Chefs add piles of seasoned bison and smoked chipotle pepper jack cheese to stacks of chips loaded with pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and cilantro.

4. Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen

Warm up and refuel with a steaming ramen bowl at Storm King Lounge. Soul-soothing pork and chicken bone broth (vegetable also available) meet braised pork, daikon, scallions, soft boiled egg, togarashi oil and furikake seasoning in a generous dinner serving.

5. BBA Sandwich

Avocado toast with spiced toasted almonds, banana bread French toast, a killer protein-packed quinoa bowl—it’s hard to choose a favorite from the breakfast menu at Toast & Co. A surefire winner: The BBA breakfast sandwich. Thick-cut cherry wood smoked bacon, avocado, marinated roasted tomato, arugula and a fried egg on a roll dressed in bacon aioli never disappoints.

6. Wood-Fired Pizza

Belly-up to the copper-finished bar to sip one of 20 beers on tap at Ten Mile Tavern while chefs wood-fire your gourmet pizza. Go big with The Whole Ridgeline—a stacked concoction of chorizo, bacon, pepperoncinis, red onions and mushrooms with house red sauce and plenty of melty mozzarella.

7. Lobster Mac and Cheese

Kids flock to Mountain Melt for the extra gooey, tummy-warming mac, grilled cheese sandwiches and tater tots. Parents: Get in on the goodness with a made-to-order bowl of lobster macaroni. Savor steamy sautéed hunks of lobster in heavy cream, sharp cheddar and crisp peas. It’s comfort food at its finest.

8. Covered Bridge Burger

Upscale dark wood, dim light C.B. Grille is known for its top-notch steakhouse fare—think dry-aged New York strip and seared venison medallions—creative Colorado small plates and a curated wine list. For an unexpected treat, order the house burger. A hand-ground tenderloin patty is expertly prepared and topped with grilled onions, avocado, roasted garlic sauce, Fontina cheese and—wait for it—sweet, smoky candied bacon.

9. House-Smoked Ribs

Live music, a historic bar and one of the happiest happy hours around (3 to 6 p.m. food and drink specials) make JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern a happening evening spot. Hearty appetites appreciate the tender baby back pork ribs smoked in-house and slathered in JJ’s housemade sauce.
