Park City, UT – Nov. 16, 2018 – POWDR today announced the appointment of Dustin Lyman as president and general manager of Copper Mountain Resort where he will oversee all ski area operations effective immediately.
Copper is one of POWDR’s eight world-class, year-round mountain resorts and an ideal vacation destination with a local-at-the core community vibe that represents the best of Colorado. “I’m thrilled to join the team and community at Copper Mountain,” says Lyman, Copper Mountain’s president and general manager. “It feels like home having grown up in Colorado and always being such a big fan of Copper Mountain. I look forward to driving Copper’s continued success and working with the resort team to build upon Copper’s momentum and deliver an outstanding Raised on Colorado guest experience.”
Lyman most recently served as the CEO for Famous Brands International, where he led a successful turnaround of two iconic retail brands, Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY Yogurt. Prior to Famous Brands International, Dustin worked for Vail Resorts and Dish Network, both in lead financial roles. Dustin also played collegiate football and baseball at Wake Forest University, and subsequently played tight end for the Chicago Bears NFL team from 2000 through 2005.

Dustin is a passionate Colorado local having grown up in Boulder, CO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wake Forest University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
