As you may have heard, Copper is underway with plans to bring new community offerings to the resort, including at the base of the Alpine lift in the resort’s East Village, and at the Chapel and North Alpine Lots.
The proposed “Alpine Neighborhood” at the base of the Apline Lift is planned to include new construction single-family homes and townhomes and a new hotel with slopeside accommodations and dining options open to the public.
We see this project as a way to set the bar for future, thoughtful development across the resort. From our partnership with renowned local developer, Continuum Partners, to the materials we will source for the build and the look and feel of the facilities, the Alpine Neighborhood will represent the best of what Colorado has to offer. Continuum Partners, which is Denver-based, shares our commitment to making Copper the place for a Raised on Colorado, local experience.
In addition to the Alpine Neighborhood, Copper Mountain has a number of development projects in the pipeline, including thoughtful plans for new workforce housing near the North Alpine lot and a new hotel at the Chapel Lot. We are working closely with the Summit County Planning Department, planning department staff, and community members to ensure all development will enhance and preserve the resort’s local vibe.
We can’t become the best version of ourselves without your help and the public development process significantly informed Alpine Neighborhood Class 5 application to the Summit County Planning Department. Our proposed plan for the Alpine Neighborhood reflects community input, minimizes environmental impacts, enhances the golf course, and will create a phenomenal asset for Copper Mountain Community residents and guests.
The Class 5 application was pre-ceded by a number of public work sessions and applications reviewed by the Summit County Planning and Engineering Departments, 10 Mile Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners.
We anticipate a public hearing on the proposed Alpine Neighborhood plan to take place by early summer 2018.
